  • Solar Energy comes from the sun and is essentially free for all people of earth to use, there is no possible way for any sane government to charge cash for the use of the sun, as it is used by everyone and everything.  Harnessing solar energy is free when you grow your gardens or when you plant food, however harnessing it for mechanical, electrical, and heating can cost in the short run, but is essentially free in the long run.
