Solar Energy Equipment

The equipment needed for solar energy can be simple or complicated depending on the usages you will be getting out of it.  Solar energy equipment can be found from hobby shops to appliance stores that deal with heating systems and some specialty stores that will do photoelectric cells and other advanced uses that involve sensitive moving parts (such as a sterling engine generator).  The equipment needed for photoelectric cells is the cells, and wiring - they are sold cheaply at low voltage novelty times or the more expensive models which charge batteries and also help in adding energy to the home, reducing energy consumption (albeit expensive).  Solar energy equipment is the same in most cases - it consists of a collection panel and transmission of energy materials.  Electricity is usually conducted using wires, while solar thermal energy is conducted using pipes.

For a solar thermal energy hot water setup you will need many parts.  The solar energy equipment will include (but is certainly not limited to) solar panels (about two or three) copper pipes and insulated piping (depending on location, lengths vary), a solar collection tank for the heated water (of course you need somewhere for it to go and normal hot water heaters are not easily converted to such a task - however by using both in tandem the hot water can be circulated - thus saving you cash for heating), a water pump to pump either cool or recycled warm water back up through the solar panels (sometimes two pumps), a control mechanism and several automatic pressure release valves (remember, temperatures can be very warm, and bubbles can cause problems - this eliminates the risk).  There are other things that you will need as well (fasteners brackets and the like), but they are less in importance for listing in the terms of solar energy equipment.
